CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

Effective Date: September 30, 2026
Last Updated: September 30, 2026

At Guango 260 Apartments, we understand that travel plans can sometimes change. Our Cancellation & Refund Policy explains what happens when a guest needs to cancel or change a reservation.

By making a reservation with Guango 260 Apartments, you agree to the cancellation terms applicable to the rate and booking selected at the time of reservation.

1. Cancellation Terms

The cancellation terms applicable to your reservation will be displayed during the booking process and in your booking confirmation.

Different rates, promotional offers, booking periods, and booking channels may have different cancellation conditions.

Please review the cancellation terms carefully before completing your reservation.

Where a reservation is made through a third-party booking platform, the cancellation policy displayed by that platform may apply.

2. Direct Bookings

For reservations made directly through Guango260.com, the cancellation terms displayed during the booking process will apply to your reservation.

When you complete your booking, the applicable cancellation deadline and any applicable refund amount will form part of your booking terms.

Guests are encouraged to cancel as early as possible if they know they will not be able to travel.

3. Cancellation Before Arrival

If you need to cancel your reservation, please contact Guango 260 Apartments as soon as possible.

Your eligibility for a refund will depend on:

  • The rate selected;
  • The cancellation deadline;
  • The number of days before arrival that the cancellation is made;
  • Any promotional or special booking conditions; and
  • The booking platform used to make the reservation.

A cancellation made after the applicable cancellation deadline may result in a partial refund or no refund, depending on the terms of the reservation.

4. Non-Refundable Reservations

Some rates or special offers may be offered on a non-refundable basis.

If you select a non-refundable rate, the amount paid may not be refundable if you cancel, change your reservation, or fail to arrive.

The booking page will clearly identify a non-refundable rate before you complete your reservation.

5. No-Show Policy

If a guest does not arrive for their reservation and does not contact Guango 260 Apartments, the reservation may be treated as a no-show.

A no-show may result in the loss of the amount paid or other charges in accordance with the terms applicable to the reservation.

If you know that you will be arriving late or your travel plans have changed, please contact us as soon as possible.

6. Early Departure

If a guest checks out before the scheduled departure date, the unused portion of the reservation is not automatically refundable.

Any refund will depend on the cancellation terms applicable to the original reservation.

Guests who need to shorten their stay should contact us before making changes to their travel arrangements.

7. Changing Your Reservation

Requests to change a reservation are subject to availability and the terms of the original booking.

Changes may include:

  • Changing arrival dates;
  • Changing departure dates;
  • Extending a stay;
  • Reducing the length of a stay;
  • Changing the number of guests; or
  • Changing the apartment.

A change may result in a different room rate or additional charges.

A reservation change is not confirmed until Guango 260 Apartments has accepted the request.

8. Date Changes

Changing your reservation dates may be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and creation of a new booking, depending on the circumstances and booking conditions.

If the new dates have a higher rate, the difference may be payable by the guest.

If the new dates have a lower rate, any adjustment will be handled according to the applicable booking terms.

9. Refunds

Where a refund is approved, Guango 260 Apartments will process the applicable refund according to the payment method and booking platform used.

Refund processing times may vary depending on:

  • The payment provider;
  • The guest's bank or card issuer;
  • The booking platform; and
  • Other financial-processing requirements.

Guango 260 Apartments does not control the processing time of a guest's bank or payment provider.

10. Third-Party Reservations

If you booked Guango 260 Apartments through a third-party booking platform such as Airbnb or another reservation service, cancellation requests should generally be handled through the platform where the reservation was made.

The cancellation policy and refund terms displayed by that platform may apply.

Guango 260 Apartments does not control the payment-processing or refund procedures of third-party booking platforms.

11. Cancellation by Guango 260 Apartments

In exceptional circumstances, Guango 260 Apartments may need to cancel a reservation because the accommodation becomes unavailable or circumstances arise that prevent us from safely or reasonably providing the accommodation.

If we cancel a confirmed reservation, we will make reasonable efforts to:

  • Notify the guest as soon as possible;
  • Explain the situation;
  • Where reasonably possible, offer an alternative accommodation arrangement; or
  • Provide an appropriate refund in accordance with the applicable booking terms and law.

12. Circumstances Beyond Our Control

There may be circumstances outside the reasonable control of Guango 260 Apartments that affect a reservation.

These may include events such as:

  • Natural disasters;
  • Hurricanes or severe weather;
  • Government restrictions;
  • Major utility failures;
  • Transportation disruptions;
  • Public emergencies;
  • Acts of nature; or
  • Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where such circumstances occur, Guango 260 Apartments will communicate with affected guests and determine what options are available under the applicable booking terms and Jamaican law.

13. Cancellation Due to Guest Conduct

A reservation may be terminated where a guest seriously violates the property's House Rules, Terms & Conditions, or applicable law.

Examples may include:

  • Unauthorized parties or events;
  • Serious property damage;
  • Illegal activity;
  • Exceeding the permitted occupancy;
  • Serious disturbance of other guests or residents; or
  • Other serious violations of the property's rules.

Where a stay is terminated because of guest conduct, the guest may not be entitled to a refund, subject to applicable law.

14. Refunds for Problems During Your Stay

If you experience a problem with your accommodation, please contact Guango 260 Apartments as soon as possible while you are still at the property.

We will make reasonable efforts to investigate and resolve legitimate problems.

Guests should give us a reasonable opportunity to address an issue before seeking a refund or other remedy.

Any refund or compensation will be considered based on:

  • The nature and severity of the problem;
  • How long the problem affected the guest;
  • Whether we were given an opportunity to correct the problem;
  • The terms of the reservation; and
  • Applicable law.

15. How to Cancel

For a direct reservation, guests should use the cancellation option provided in their booking confirmation or contact Guango 260 Apartments directly.

Please include:

  • Your name;
  • Booking confirmation number;
  • Check-in date; and
  • The reason for your cancellation, where applicable.

We recommend keeping confirmation of your cancellation for your records.

16. Cancellation Confirmation

A cancellation is not considered completed until it has been successfully recorded and, where applicable, a cancellation confirmation has been issued.

If you do not receive confirmation of your cancellation, please contact us.

17. Booking Protection

Guests are encouraged to consider appropriate travel insurance that may provide coverage for circumstances that cause them to cancel or interrupt their trip.

Travel insurance may provide protection for certain circumstances such as illness, travel disruption, emergencies, or other covered events.

Guango 260 Apartments does not provide travel insurance.
